Hasit Nanda was born the eldest of two children on September 6th, 1994 in Delhi, India. As a young child of 3, he had an immediate curiosity for Piano when his kindergarten teacher saw him play the C major scale on a keyboard perfectly with eyes closed. A few years later, his mother agreed to take Hasit to his first music lesson while he was still in school, at 11 years-old, to a well known Vocal teacher, Mrs. Poonam Kishore. While he was learning Indian Classical Music from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Hasit immediately developed a passion for the instrument and soon discovered he had a natural ability for playing songs by ear without any kind of notations. By the age of 15, playing piano was simply not enough, so he began improvising on simple bollywood tunes, which eventually lead into his immense interest in improvisation for years to come. Hasit continued studying vocals and harmonium with Mrs. Poonam Kishore for a few years. He was also guided by his High School's music teachers. Hasit did practice, but with toy keyboards borrowed from friends and neighbours. He would play a professional keyboard in school, practice with toy keyboards at home and occasionally participate in a school competition and wow the judges there. However, hectic study schedules kept him away from joining any piano training institute.

Eager to share his abilities and musings with friends, Hasit made recordings of himself playing his arrangements of various popular hindi and english songs. To gain feedback, he decided to post some of these recordings on the internet. After enjoying the feedback he received on his arrangements, he decided to extend his online musical presence further. He officially became a partner of YouTube in July, 2012, under the channel name Hasit Nanda (kittu187).

By 2013, his channel had reached over 2 million YouTube views, and at one point, was the fourth most viewed channel in the music category on YouTube (Indian Charts).
YouTube, undoubtedly, brought him the most fans and is just the beginning of his online success as a pianist. Although most of his videos feature music from english pop and bollywood, Hasit has been studying classical piano since the first lesson in April, 2012. Of all composers, his favorite is Frédéric Chopin for classical and John Williams and Hans Zimmer for Movie Scores..

It is his success on YouTube that truly helped Hasit make a decision to turn his passion for music into a career in music. Being able to perform almost any tracks by ear, Hasit’s renditions have been noticed, shared & praised by Pianists, Composers & DJs like Hardwell, Tiesto, Avicii, Thomas Newson, Martin Garrix, Jay Hardway, Example, Dubba Jonny, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Tyrone & Jesse Taylor (New World Sound), Chirantan Bhatt, Jarrod Radnich, David Osborne, Madilyn Bailey, AWE, and others. He is currently #1 (Locally & Nationally) and #10 (Globally) on Reverbnation for his respective genre. The biggest competition he won was Jarrod Radnich's Pirates Of The Caribbean Worldwide Piano Competition, he was the only Indian to reach Top 10 and securing the 2nd position!

In just one year’s training at Theme, Hasit has passed four grades out of eight in piano training with Distinction and plans to complete Masters in the subject. He says, “I love piano for the fact that it is such a diverse instrument. I can play any style of music. The roaring bass of a Grand Piano and the brilliantly hammered keys makes it possible for a Pianist to play a score in a full orchestral way. No other instrument can do that. I can take a simple piece of music and make it magnificent by putting my own emotion into it and improvising it in my own style, which can make people cry, make them smile, give them goosebumps and even cause anxiety and almost a sense of fear "

Hasit has made over 300 piano videos, has gained the respect and admiration of thousands of viewers (15/12/2013) with a total of 2,000,000 Video Views.
